Standards Guides for Parents
How to Help Your Child Succeed in School
Battelle for Kids has designed series of K-12 standards guides for parents and families in English language arts (reading/writing), math, science and social studies. These guides were designed to give parents and families a better understanding of Ohio's new academic standards and to suggest simple ways parents and families can help their children develop the knowledge and skills they are expected to learn at each grade level. The guides are great resources to distribute at back-to-school nights, PTA meetings and parent/teacher conferences.
Understanding Ohio's Testing System K-12
A testing guide for parents and families also is available. The testing guide provides information about Ohio's testing requirements and includes test-taking tips, sample test questions and a glossary.
