Computerized Adaptive Assessments
Adaptive assessments provide one of the most accurate measures of student achievement.

Battelle for Kids formed a partnership with the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) that allows SOAR districts to use NWEA's Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) computerized assessments at a reduced cost.

MAP's test questions dynamically adjust to a student's ability level, and as a result, test scores are more accurate. The turnaround time for student results is 24 hours, made possible by the computerized platform. NWEA makes measuring within-year student progress possible to help inform student support decision-making during the year.

NWEA’s ability to measure growth within a school year and beyond is a strong complement to Battelle for Kids’ ability to measure annual value-added growth.
